Josefine combines her background in computer science with a strong commitment to open-source technology and sustainable digital infrastructure. She joined the Open Source Business Alliance e.V. and the ECO:DIGIT research project team to explore and holistically assess the environmental impact of cloud technologies. She currently works as a system engineer specialising in sustainability monitoring, developing open-source-based approaches to measuring and managing the carbon footprint of digital services within cloud infrastructure.
